This crawl space had humidity and a mold problem. Inspector, Tom B. explained to the homeowner how air flows in your home from bottom to top. If there is high humidity in your crawl space, then there will be humidity upstairs. The same concept with mold. Mold spores will travel through the air, moving upwards to the living space. The foundation walls were cracked and bowing. Foundation stabilization was achieved by installing push piers. Galvanized steel tube sections are hydraulically driven through steel foundation brackets to reach the depths of competent soil. They're locked into place and the weight of your home is transferred from the original, unstable soil, through the piers, to the competent soil or bedrock.

Cracks in the basement wall allowed water to seep through into the basement. To solve the problem our crew installed CleanSpace vapor barrier and an interior perimeter drainage system.
