When a foundation wall bows inward, expansive soils or hydrostatic pressure are usually responsible. The expansion of soils caused by water or frost pushes against the wall. Hydrostatic pressure occurs when underground water presses against your walls. In either case, the walls require immediate attention and reinforcement to prevent further damage. Using the PowerBrace system, we were able to provide permanent stabilization and prevent the foundation wall from bowing any further.
The PowerBrace Wall Repair System permanently stabilized this customer's failing foundation wall. The PowerBrace Wall System is a patented steel bracing system that is installed on the inside of a foundation wall and anchored to the floor and joists above the wall. The wall is pulled back into its original position and stabilized by the tension of the steel braces. The braces are designed to be corrosion-resistant and can be adjusted for different wall heights, widths, and thicknesses. The system is designed to provide a permanent solution to foundation wall failure.
