Foundation Repair Photo Album: Convenience Mart Foundation Repair in Jersey Shore, PA
Our office was contacted by a Jersey Shore, PA business owner seeking a foundation repair solution. An appointment was scheduled with Dennis D., who is an expert in foundation repair, to receive a free, no-obligation quote and consultation.
As the owner of a convenience store, it was very imperative to resolve the foundation repair problem with a reputable, trusted company. As a result of his thorough inspection, Dennis talked to the owner about his findings. There were stair-step cracks, peeling paint, and water damage stains on the concrete block exterior. Additionally, the floors inside the building were cracked. Dennis quickly diagnosed the problem as foundation settlement, and provided the customer with a permanent solution.
The Push Pier System can solve settlement problems by transferring the structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth. Piers can effectively stabilize a settling structure and can even provide jacking points to lift the structure upwards to its original, level position. To do this, our crew dug a deep trench next to the exterior foundation wall. Once the footing was exposed, a bracket was tightly secured to the footing and the piers were hydraulically driven into the soil. When the piers are driven to a depth of competent soil, the weight of the building will transfer to the push piers. To ensure optimal performance, the crew will load test during installation. Once complete, the trench is backfilled and leveled with soil.
Liberty Basement Systems production crew installed 28 push piers during this foundation repair project. The owner was very pleased with the results of the installation.
