Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Semi-Finished Basement With Water Problem Transformation in Plains, PA
We were contacted by a Plains, PA homeowner who needed help with a leaking basement wall. A free basement waterproofing inspection and estimate was scheduled shortly afterwards with inspector Robert W. Whenever it rained heavily, the basement wall would leak water, leaving a puddle of water on the floor. When the homeowners noticed mold growth in that area, they decided it was time for a professional to come take a look.
During Robert's conversation with the customer, it was explained that they were planning on refinishing part of their basement and needed a permanent solution. Following Robert's comprehensive assessment of the basement, a customized permanent solution was created that would solve all their wet basement problems. In addition to providing the ultimate dry basement solution and keeping the customer's wants and needs in mind, he recommended our exclusive EverLast Basement Wall Restoration System. Water will not only be stopped from leaking through the basement walls, but a sleek finished basement will be created as well. The customer was thrilled with Robert's recommendation and was excited to see the final result!
Production manager Aaron Lenker, along with crew members Ben and Colby, started by removing sections of basement walls that had water damage and mold growth. Following wall removal, a mold spray was applied behind the wall to prevent further mold growth. The perimeter of the basement floor was hammered out to install Drain Tile, an interior drainage system that collects water entering the basement. In addition to providing drainage, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed. Water that is collected by the sump pump from the drainage system is removed using an exterior drainage line. During this process, water is taken out of the home at a safe distance and drained away. To maintain low humidity levels in the basement, a SaniDry Sedona basement dehumidifier was installed. The Sedona has a self-draining mechanism that will drain to the sump pump, so there won't be any running back and forth if it becomes full! The hammered trench is leveled with concrete after everything is installed.
The EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System is installed once the concrete is dry. This system provides a solution for homeowners who have experienced wet, damaged or moldy walls in their finished basement. Water will not damage these durable wall panels, and their completely inorganic design will not support mold growth. These EverLast Finished Wall Panels are fully washable and come with a warranty. Additionally, it gives your basement a stylish, finished look while protecting your basement from water issues.
Upon completion of the basement waterproofing project, the homeowner was very happy with the results and would highly recommend Liberty Basement Systems!
