In these photos, see how our team at Liberty Basement Systems tackled a common issue faced by homeowners in Carbondale: water seepage through concrete block walls. Initially, the basement suffered from leakage, risking structural integrity and damaging belongings. Using our sophisticated system, including the TripleSafe Sump Pump, CleanSpace, and WaterGuard, we provided a comprehensive solution. The TripleSafe ensures reliable water removal, CleanSpace encapsulates and protects the area, while WaterGuard directs water safely away. Our strategic intervention transformed the basement from a damp liability to a dry and secure space.
In Jessup, PA, this homeowner faced severe foundation issues, evidenced by the sinking and settling shown in the before photo, leading to critical cracks in their cement block foundation. At Liberty Basement Systems, we effectively addressed these challenges by installing our Push Pier System. You can see in the after photo how this engineered solution permanently stabilized the foundation by driving steel tube sections through unstable soil to secure load-bearing layers below. This method not only stops future settlement but may also close existing cracks, restoring property value and structural integrity.
This crawl space had humidity and a mold problem. Inspector, Tom B. explained to the homeowner how air flows in your home from bottom to top. If there is high humidity in your crawl space, then there will be humidity upstairs. The same concept with mold. Mold spores will travel through the air, moving upwards to the living space. This will lead to health, safety and comfort issues in your home. To prevent these issues, Tom discussed the Crawl Space Encapsulation System. CleanSpace will be installed through out the customers crawl space. CleanSpace is a patented vapor barrier system that stops any humidity to enter the crawl space, and will not allow for mold to grow through!
The foundation walls were cracked and bowing. Foundation stabilization was achieved by installing push piers. Galvanized steel tube sections are hydraulically driven through steel foundation brackets to reach the depths of competent soil. They're locked into place and the weight of your home is transferred from the original, unstable soil, through the piers, to the competent soil or bedrock.
Cracks in the basement wall allowed water to seep through into the basement. To solve the problem our crew installed CleanSpace vapor barrier and an interior perimeter drainage system.
