In Starlight, PA, a homeowner had a wet crawl space problem. An expert from our team provided a permanent solution following a free crawl space repair inspection. It had dirt floors, wasn't insulated, and flooded every time it rained.
To resolve the issue, our crew installed drainage mats and TerraBlock high-performance insulation throughout the crawl space floor. The walls were permanently insulated with SilverGlo, a rigid foam insulation. To slow or prevent the evaporation of ground moisture into the crawl space, a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed over the floor insulation and drainage system. It was necessary to install a SmartSump Pump System with an exterior discharge line in order to remove water from the crawl space. The SmartSump is specifically designed for crawl spaces to help reduce moisture, remove water and prevent flooding. A wet crawl space will no longer be a problem for this homeowner using these systems.
