A Pocono Pines homeowner was having issues with moisture in their crawl space. They decided that enough was enough and called our office to schedule a free assessment with crawl space repair expert Tyler H. Upon thoroughly assessing the crawl space, Tyler was able to diagnose the problem and provide the customer with a comprehensive plan to solve their problems for good.
High moisture in the space resulted in sagging floor and doors that would not close on the upper levels of their home. Our crew replaced the weakened beam with a steel supplemental beam and reinforced it with our SmartJack crawl space support posts. Due to their rust-resistant material, the homeowner will not have to worry about them rotting or rusting and leading to failure. To ensure outside moisture does not make its ways into the space, our crew sealed the rim joists and any open cracks to the outside, installed CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout the crawl space walls, installed drainage matting on the floor and a high-performance sump pump to prevent flooding, and to keep the air nice and dry, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidification system was installed.
