Homeowners in Old Forge, PA contacted our office after searching the internet for a trusted waterproofing company. The home was built into hillside, leaving the 1st story of the home to be halfway under soil. Not having a waterproofing system installed, this caused water damage to their living area and the foundation wall was showing signs of an inward bowing movement. A free estimate was scheduled for inspector, Tom B. to assess the problems the homeowners were facing.
After the inspection, Tom decided the best way to solve their problem was to install WaterGuard Drainage System around the interior perimeter of the first story living space. A SuperSump Pump will be installed to collect water drainage from the WaterGuard, and safely remove it from the home through an exterior discharge line. Water that passed through the hillside soil caused inward pressure on the foundation wall. To repair this, Tom explained why the PowerBrace System was the best choice to permanently stabilize the foundation wall from any further inward bowing.
