Sue E. of Blue Ridge Summit, PA contacted our office looking to encapsulate her 125-year-old crawl space. A previous homeowner had encapsulated the crawl space, but unfortunately it was not installed correctly. Because of the improper installation of an encapsulation system, the crawl space had much water damage that caused the crawl space ceiling insulation to fall, wood was starting to rot, and musty odors lingered into the upper levels of the home. After Liberty Basement Systems crawl space inspector, Robert W. assessed the water damage in the crawl space and provided Sue with details of the solution that would permanently rid her crawl space of water problems, she couldn't wait to have Liberty Basement Systems start the project.
Robert decided the permanent solution for a dry crawl space was to install a Basement Systems' Crawl Space Encapsulation System, a dehumidification system, remove and replace all insulation, install a sump pump system, and add an additional Exterior Discharge Line. Liberty Basement Systems production crew removed the existing, wet, and moldy materials and installed CleanSpace throughout the crawl space. New insulation was installed throughout the crawl space ceiling and crawl space joists. A SuperSump Pump System with an Exterior Discharge line was installed to remove water from the crawl space and away from the home. Finally, the SaniDry XP crawl space dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity and moisture levels low.
Once the work was completed, Sue was very happy with the customer service Liberty Basement Systems provided to her and was extremely pleased with the outcome of her new bright, clean, and DRY crawl space!
