Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement to Beautiful Restoration in Hawley, PA
These Hawley, PA homeowners had water entering their basement every time it rained. Liberty Basement Systems had already installed WaterGuard, a Basement Waterproofing System engineered specifically to solve their basement water problems. Since having WaterGuard installed, their basement has been clean and DRY!
After being fully satisfied with the results of their new basement, they decided they would like to turn their basement into a space that they could use for recreational purposes. Knowing Liberty Basement Systems was able to solve their wet basement problems, it was decided they wanted our crew to come back and make their basement beautiful!
Basement Systems' unique Basement to Beautiful Restoration is a great way to go from ugly, cold, and damp walls and floors to a beautiful space that the whole family can enjoy! Once they met with inspector Jeff P, and heard all their options, they were eager to have the crew back and make their basement beautiful!
During the inspection, the homeowners spoke with Jeff about finishing their basement stairs with rough cut wood and building interior walls and closets to achieve the look they wanted for their beautiful new basement. Production Manager, Aaron Lenker sat with the customers to sketch out exactly what they wanted for their basement. Liberty Basement Systems takes pride in our work. If special accommodations need to be made, we will make sure the job gets done the right way!
Basement Wall Panels were installed throughout the basement. These panels are custom-engineered, foam panels that have integral studs. This eliminates any conventional stud framing and fiberglass insulation. The panels are designed to keep cold basement walls warm and dry! They are fastened directly to the foundation walls with permanent drilled-in fasteners. Electrical chases are built into the panels. This means an electrician is not needed to rough in the wiring, it can all be done in one step after the finished panels are installed. The Basement to Beautiful panel is not a finished panel and needs to have one installed over it. The customers decided to go with Basement Systems' Total Basement Finishing Everlast Wall Panels. It is stylish, mold proof and designed for basement environments.
EverLast Finished Wall Restoration is a great way to restore the bottom of your finished walls, without ripping the entire basement out and starting over. These panels are cement board, covered with a textured mold proof, washable, vinyl finish. The EverLast panels combine in the two most popular interior finish colors off white and beige. Since the WaterGuard System was already installed, this was the perfect time to have the panels placed. There is also a 50-year warranty on the EverLast Walls!
After having the Basement to Beautiful and EverLast Wall Panels installed, it was time to hang water resistant dry wall. The EverLast Wall Trim was added to divide the panels and the drywall. This will give the basement a more finished basement the customer wanted. The trim is all plastic and installed over the metal studs. Paint is not needed and cannot be ruined by a leak or high humidity. One of the options that was discussed during the estimate was to install ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. This flooring contains no wood at all, so it will not be affected by moisture or water in any way. The customer decided to go with the color Light Pecan. This will give their basement the warm and luxurious look they wanted.
Once the job was completed it was time to set up the SaniDry Sedona. This dehumidifier Duet filter removes mold spores, dust mite droppings, dust, and other particulates from the air. This will not only make the basement air drier and healthier, but the whole home! The customers are extremely happy with the look of their new basement! What started out as a basement waterproofing job eventually turning into a full Basement to Beautiful Restoration.
