In the Morgantown project, the homeowner needed a replacement for an exterior window well, as shown in the before photo. Liberty Basement Systems installed Sunhouse Window Wells to address this concern. Additionally, to bolster energy efficiency and control humidity, we utilized RimTight insulation to seal and insulate the rim joists. As the after photo illustrates, our solution improved the home's energy performance and reduced unnecessary stress on any dehumidifiers needed, promoting a comfortable basement environment.
Removing the window well
In order to remove the original window well, it needed to be removed from the exterior wall and dug up from the ground surrounding the window.
