Photo Album: Dry Basement System in Bloomsburg, PA
We received a call from a Bloomsburg, PA homeowner who needed help with a wet basement issue. As a result of their free no-obligation basement repair assessment, basement waterproofing expert Rob W. was able to offer a permanent solution.
In different areas of the basement, pools of water were visible. The basement walls appeared to have numerous cracks. As a result, water entered the basement and the humidity increased. After a period of time, soil pressure outside the foundation wall caused the basement wall to bow inward, causing the wall to be unstable.
After a thorough assessment, Rob diagnosed the basement water problem. Rob recommended a full basement waterproofing system as well as a basement wall stabilization system to resolve the problem permanently. Once the customer was informed of the process, they were eager to have a dry basement.
In the basement, foreman Codey B. and his production crew fastened a vapor barrier system to the basement walls. This was to prevent water from getting in through cracks and mold from growing. An interior drainage system was installed along the perimeter of the basement. Once the water is collected, it’s directed to a sump pump, which discharges the water out and away from the house through an exterior discharge line. Additionally, the crew installed a dehumidification system to ensure low humidity levels in the basement. In order to permanently stabilize the wall and prevent it from further inward movement, a patented steel beam wall repair system was implemented.
