Photo Album: Lake House Basement Waterproofing in Fleetville, PA
We received a call from a Fleetville, PA customer seeking help for their wet basement issues. A free basement waterproofing inspection and quote was scheduled with basement repair specialist Jen G. to determine the extent of the problem and provide a solid, permanent solution.
The basement was previously waterproofed, but is no longer effective, according to the customer. In the house's upper levels, there was a musty smell lingering from the basement. The foundation walls had cracks in several places. Water was seeping into the basement through cracks and causing damage. Jenn was able to provide a permanent solution to the homeowner's wet basement problem after she completed her assessment. As a result of Jenn's recommendation, the customer felt relieved to learn that Liberty Basement Systems could solve their basement problems for good! Liberty Basement Systems recommended installing an interior perimeter drainage system, a sump pump system, a wall vapor barrier throughout the basement, an exterior discharge line, and a basement dehumidifier.
As a result of Jenn's recommendation, basement waterproofing foreman, Chris F. and his production crew would first remove and dispose of all water damaged materials from the basement. A trench was jackhammered around the interior perimeter of the basement floor to install the WaterGuard Drainage System and a TrenchDrain to collect any water that enters the basement. The CleanSpace Basement Wall Vapor Barrier System was fastened to the basement walls to prevent water from entering through the cracks in the foundation walls. Water will instead drain down the backside of the barrier and into the drainage system. A TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to pump the collected water out of the home through the exterior discharge line. A long trench was dug outside the home for the discharge line to direct the collected water away from the home at a safe distance. The SaniDry Sedona basement dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity levels low and the air clean and dry!
