Photo Album: Bowing Wall Repair using Geolock Channel Anchors in Danville, PA
Homeowners in Danville, PA noticed that their garage wall was bowing inward and was concerned the structure would cave in. After seeing a Liberty Basement Systems ad online, they decided to give us a call. A free inspection was scheduled for Inspector Frank O. to evaluate the bowing wall problem. To permanently solve the customers problem, Geolock Channel Anchors would be the solution he needed.
Geolock Channel Anchors protect foundation walls from any further inward movement. The anchors hold the wall in place and can be tightened during dry seasons to straighten walls over time. This is done by removing the sod on the exterior of the garage wall. A hole is drilled to place the earth plate several feet away from the foundation wall. A steel rod is drilled through the interior wall and attached to the earth anchor. Channel anchors and floor plates are installed on the inside, fastening all the components together.
Upon completion of the job, the customer is worried free knowing their garage wall is permanently stabilized!

With these anchors in place, the customer no longer has to worry about the foundation wall moving inward. They can be installed year round, and tightened during dry months to further straighten the wall over time.
