Photo Album: Partial System Solution to a Wet Crawl Space in Tunkhannock, PA
A Tunkhannock, PA customer had a massive water problem in their crawl space. After meeting with multiple companies, they valued Liberty Basement Systems honesty and fairness. Upon a thorough inspection, Expert inspector, Jesse Anderson had the solution the customer needed.
The customers crawl space had very limited space and would be a challenge for the production crew to work through. During the inspection, Jesse noted standing water reflecting under the back side of the crawl space. It was discussed to reach that area; the crew would need to remove the sub-floor directly above that corner of the crawl space. The customer understood this was a necessary part of the solution to fixing the water problem he was facing and agreed to replace the floor himself once the job was completed. The products used to solve the customers wet crawl space problems were the SuperSump Pump System and an Exterior Discharge Line to safely remove the water from the home. To accommodate the customer’s needs, this is a Partial System Solution for their crawl space.
Production manager, Aaron Lenker and Installer, Raphael Osario removed the sub-floor to have better access to the crawl space. Once the floor was removed, the crew noticed a pool of water that needed to be pumped out. After the water was removed, the hole was dug to install the SuperSump pump. The SuperSump Pump effectively pumps 2,650 gallons/hour, and resists clogging and can pump up to 1/2 solids! The SuperSump came with The WaterWatch Alarm System, the cast iron pump liner, AirTight Lid with AirTight Floor Drain, and CleanPump Stand. Next was the installation of 20ft Exterior Discharge Line. Once water enters the pump, the Exterior Discharge Line will carry it away from the home.
Though this job was a Partial System Solution, the customer was very happy with the accommodations made to meet his needs, and all the work put in to remove the water in their crawl space!

Pond of Water in Crawl Space
This crawl space was taking on a lot of water, and didn't have anywhere to go. Ground water leakage will slowly evaporate into the house, causing unhealthy and uncomfortable living conditions.
The Pump
After the sub-floor was removed directly above the crawl space, a cast iron pump was placed in to remove the pool of water. Once the water is removed, the crew will install the SuperSump Pump System.
SuperSump Pump System
The pool of water removed, hole dug, and the Pumping System was installed.
Exterior Discharge Line
The Exterior Discharge Line is connected to the Sump Pump and stabilized to the floor joists in the crawl space.
Discharge Line
The customer had an existing line running from his basement. The discharge line being installed will be connected to the one in the basement, and water will be carried away from the home.
